WOW, the 2013 World Freestyle Championships are over at the Nantahala river and what a ride! The world's top freestyle kayakers and squirt boaters really gave it their all this past week/weekend and put on one hell of a show. Check out the final results and congrats to all who participated and a big thank you to those who put so much work into making it a show to remember.

Check out some good fun that was had at the Nantahala World Kayak Pro-am. The pro am is a gathering of professional athletes and amature kayakers raising money for the First Descents Charity at the Nantahala river NC. Each pro paddler is paired with two amateurs, forming a team of three and they compete in a beginner-friendly freestyle event. Good times.

So surely by now you have at least heard about Liquid Logic testing out a new playboat. I mean we are talking a couple of years now. Well, check out this latest video where Yonton Mehler of Astral put it through its' paces. Yonton will be paddling this boat in the upcoming Freestyle Worlds. Good luck man and looking good!

Bliss-Stick and WeStroke team paddler Ben Ghertner has recently switched over to a Bliss-Stick Smoothy playboat. He has since used it in competition at GoPro Mountain Games, to tear up the waves on the Slave River, surf Rodeo Wave at Rock Island and more! Check out some footage from the 2013 OKS Adult Keeners program at the Ottawa Kayak School. Running from June 9th to the 22nd, this is an awesome way to hone your playboating skills. Warm water, fantastic river, awesome instructors... it just doesn't get much better. Water levels started at 17.75 on day 1 and by the end of 2 weeks they were at 14.25.

Check out this cool whitewater kayaking vid by Jackson Kayak team members Clay Wright and Nicholas Troutman. They found a new wave to surf on the Caney Fork in TN which has always been there but was never deep enough to surf. The recent high water changed that and they were able to throw all kinds of tricks in their brand new 2014 Rockstars.
