It was an exciting day at the U.S. Freestyle Team Trials in the Nantahala Gorge. The athletes woke up to a river with a flow that was almost double of what they had been practicing on. Haley Mills is both a stand up paddleboard (SUP) athlete and a professional freestyle kayaker as well. She took home the 5th place spot in the 2011 World Championships in Germany. In the two years since the last worlds Haley has been training hard for the 2013 USA Freestyle Kayak Team.
