2012 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Cup

Updated again: EJ revealed the Rock Island World Cup Men's Heats

It's that time of year. The 2012 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Cup is upon us with three great events on three different rivers and it's here in the Southeast! Check out the schedule below:

- World Cup 1 will be in Sparta, TN in the Jackson's back yard at Rock Island August 24-26.

- World Cup 2 will be in Hartford, TN at the play wave on the Pigeon River, behind the NOC outpost, August 28-30.

- World Cup 3 will be in Bryson City, NC at the NOC wave on the Nantahala River September 7-9.

- The World Cup Champions will be announced in Bryson City on September 9th.

150 competitors from 17 different countries will be competing this year. They will be traveling from all over the globe to throw it down here to the U.S. southeast including the Jackson Kayaks Japanese team who will cover over 4,000 miles! Last year's ICF championships were in Plattling, Germany and there is no telling when the championships will be back in this area so be sure to check it out if you can.
